This year 2017, has almost come to an end.
December is a time to reminisce and look back. What did you do and accomplish this year? If you set goals, did you reach them? And if you didn't, why not?
My mentor Tara always says, that you are where you are supposed to be.
And if you didn't reach a goal, that's fine. You are on your way to that goal. As a matter of fact, in our business community the Starship, we reassess every month where we are and if we are on track. And I love that. It's a way to keep on track and make adjustments. If you get sidetracked you end up on the right path in no time.
It's something you can do in your private life too.
The simplest example is when you want to buy something big, like a car or go on that special holiday with your family. You set that goal, you make a plan and start saving. Sometimes you look at where you are in your plan, on your way to that goal. Maybe you need to rethink things and reorganize. But that's ok, right? You can't beat yourself up for being where you are. This path has led you to this point and that's where you are and you can't do anything about that. Celebrate, even though you wanted to be somewhere else on your journey. Also celebrate, when you're on track. If it's going the way you want, pat yourself on the back, you've earned it!
So this time of year is great to put your thinking cap on.
What do you want to do, accomplish, try, achieve, create or take on in 2018? Make a plan, how are you going to reach that goal? Break it up into steps you can take. And write it all out. Give it a timeline, really organize your actions.
You can go by a word if you don't have a certain goal for 2018.
If you choose a word, that word can help you throughout the year. This word can guide you through 2018 and help you grow in your self-development.
Your family can choose a word too.
Think about what you want to accomplish as a family. Maybe you want to spend more quality time together. So come up with activities with your word in mind. “Together” could be your family's word. Or maybe “love”, “enjoy”, or “grow”. “Memories” or “kindness”. A word can really navigate you and your family.
To help you with choosing a word for your family or yourself, I made a list of 45 words to choose from.

Tell me: Would you plan, set a goal or choose a word for the next year?
P.S. This is a post in a series for 2017 to help you get more organized. So every month I will give you tips and tricks to organize your home, life, money or bag. Let me know if you are looking for some tricks to organize something in specific, OK?
